EXPLORER 225 Design The 225 is specifically designed to provide an extremely stable boat which is suitable for use as a tender or with an outboard. The hull shape provides class-leading stability and when fitted with a 4 hp outboard, the boat will plane. There is also the option of a single or double keel wheel for easy handling on your beach or slipway. Construction Glass fibre reinforced polyester resin throughout. COREMAT interlaminar reinforcement to provide stiffening. Polyurethane foam is bonded in for strength and buoyancy. Aluminium Alloy or Stainless Steel fasteners and fittings. Reinforcement Coremat interlaminar reinforcement is used at the rowlock points, transom and hull floor and the outboard placement. Polyurethane foam is bonded into the seat laminations to provide strength and buoyancy. A wood block is positioned between the skins to reinforce the outboard placement (where specified). The block can be replaced if required. Buoyancy Positive flotation to ensure boat will float even if completely filled with water. Additional foam may be specified if required to support an outboard.
